Job Title: Speech-Language Interpreter (SLI)
Location: North Kansas City 
Position Type: Full-Time  / Contract 
Hourly pay and including non-taxable travel stipends (if needed) 
Dates: ASAP - May 23 2025
Caseload: 1:1 or K-12 classroom 

Job Summary:
School District is seeking a qualified Speech-Language Interpreter (SLI) to provide interpreting services for students who require speech-to-text or spoken language interpretation to access educational programming. The SLI will work closely with students, teachers, speech-language pathologists, and other support staff to ensure effective communication and equal access to curriculum and school activities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree preferred in ASL or Educational Interpreting

• Valid certification as an Educational Interpreter (or ability to obtain certification if required by the state).

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or other required communication methods.

• Experience working with school-aged children is preferred.

Preferred Certifications (if applicable):

• EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment) score meeting state standards.

• RID (Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf) Certification.
