Blazer Jobs is seeking a skilled ASL Interpreter for a full-time position in Stockton, California. The interpreter will facilitate communication for deaf or hard-of-hearing students within the educational setting.
Responsibilities:
Provide real-time interpretation between ASL and spoken English during classroom instruction and school activities.
Support students' access to curriculum and participation in school events.
Collaborate with educators to ensure effective communication strategies.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethical standards.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
Valid certification such as EIPA score of 3.5 or higher, RID, or NIC.
Compliance with California Department of Education requirements for interpreters.
At least one year of experience interpreting in a school setting.
