High School Science Teacher – New Orleans Area | 2025–2026 School Year

Location: New Orleans Area, LA
Schedule: Full-Time Contract
Pay: starting from $40

Blazer Jobs is seeking a passionate and qualified High School Science Teacher to join a forward-thinking school district in the New Orleans area for the 2025–2026 academic year. This is a full-time contract position with the opportunity to impact students in grades 9–12 by delivering engaging science instruction and promoting academic achievement in a supportive, inclusive environment.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality instruction in one or more science disciplines (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Physical Science)

• Create and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with state standards

• Assess student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback

• Participate in IEP and intervention meetings when applicable

• Collaborate with colleagues, families, and school leaders to support student growth

• Maintain a safe, respectful, and effective learning environment

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science Education or related field

• Active Louisiana teaching certification in secondary science (Grades 6–12)

• Previous high school classroom experience strongly preferred

• Strong classroom management and communication skills
