Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for full-time roles with partner school districts in the Orange, NJ area. We are looking for passionate professionals who are committed to helping students develop essential communication skills that support academic success and social engagement.
Applicants must meet all local and state requirements for practicing as a Speech-Language Pathologist in New Jersey, including:
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
Valid New Jersey Speech-Language Specialist certification issued by the New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE)
State licensure through the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs – Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology Advisory Committee
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred, but CFs may be considered
Completed clinical fellowship or equivalent practicum experience in a school setting
Current background check and fingerprint clearance
Strong collaboration, communication, and documentation skills
As a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist, responsibilities typically include:
Conducting assessments to diagnose speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) based on students’ needs
Delivering direct therapy services to students individually or in small groups
Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate documentation
Collaborating with educators, families, and other service providers to support students' goals
Participating in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
Providing consultation and training to staff on communication strategies and supports
