Details:
- Location: Romeoville, IL
- Full Time: 37.5 hours per week
- Caseload: Age group and caseload to be determined. The district likes to discuss more details at the time of interview to see the best fit.
Requirements – Applicants Must Meet All Local and State Criteria:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist License from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Professional Educator License (PEL) with an endorsement in Speech-Language Pathology from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE)
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (oral and written communication)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
- Completion of required school district background checks and fingerprint clearance
Responsibilities:
- Provide remote speech and language therapy to students in K–12 settings
- Conduct virtual assessments and evaluations using teletherapy platforms
- Develop and manage IEPs in collaboration with school teams
- Maintain detailed and timely documentation in compliance with state and district policies
- Regularly consult with educators, parents, and support staff
- Adapt instructional strategies to meet individual student needs in a virtual environment
