Position: Special Education Teacher – Mild to Moderate Disabilities
Location: Aurora, CO
Employment Type: Full-Time and Part-Time (37.5 hours/week or 18.75 hours/week)
Contract Dates: Full School Year (FSY)

Position Overview

Blazer Jobs is seeking dedicated and licensed Special Education Teachers for multiple openings in Aurora, Colorado for the upcoming school year. Candidates will work with a range of students from Pre-K to 8th grade, supporting mild to moderate disabilities as well as students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and complex needs. These positions require travel between multiple school sites within the district.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialized instruction to students with mild to moderate disabilities and complex needs

• Support students aged 3-5 and Pre-K through 8th grade across multiple school locations

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs)

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and school staff

• Adapt instruction to meet diverse student needs and promote inclusion

• Manage caseload effectively across multiple school sites

Qualifications

• Active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Education License (required)

• Experience working with mild to moderate disabilities, ASD, and complex disabilities preferred

• Ability to travel between school sites during the workday

• Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills

• Candidates should indicate preferred caseload and age groups upon application
