Special Education Teacher Full Time Role

Full-Time Special Education Teacher – Middletown, CT Area

Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Special Education Teachers for a full-time position in partnership with school districts in the Middletown, CT area. We are seeking professionals who are passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of students with special needs.

Minimum Requirements (State & Local):
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria to be considered:

• Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field

• Possess a valid and active Connecticut Teaching Certificate (Initial, Provisional, or Professional)

• Certification must include Comprehensive Special Education (Endorsement Code 165) or equivalent

• Must have verifiable experience as a Special Education Teacher

• Must be eligible to work in a Connecticut public school, which includes:

• Completion of a state-approved educator preparation program

• Background check and fingerprinting clearance

• Compliance with Connecticut Department of Education (CSDE) requirements

• Up-to-date health and immunization records as required by the district

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement IEPs (Individualized Education Plans) tailored to student needs

• Provide differentiated instruction and academic support to students with disabilities

• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families

• Monitor and document student progress toward educational goals

• Participate in IEP meetings and student evaluations

• Foster a supportive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
