Full-Time Special Education Teacher – Middletown, CT Area
Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Special Education Teachers for a full-time position in partnership with school districts in the Middletown, CT area. We are seeking professionals who are passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of students with special needs.
Minimum Requirements (State & Local):
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria to be considered:
Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field
Possess a valid and active Connecticut Teaching Certificate (Initial, Provisional, or Professional)
Certification must include Comprehensive Special Education (Endorsement Code 165) or equivalent
Must have verifiable experience as a Special Education Teacher
Must be eligible to work in a Connecticut public school, which includes:
Completion of a state-approved educator preparation program
Background check and fingerprinting clearance
Compliance with Connecticut Department of Education (CSDE) requirements
Up-to-date health and immunization records as required by the district
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement IEPs (Individualized Education Plans) tailored to student needs
Provide differentiated instruction and academic support to students with disabilities
Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
Monitor and document student progress toward educational goals
Participate in IEP meetings and student evaluations
Foster a supportive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
