Blazer Jobs is seeking experienced Special Education Teachers for a full-time position with partner school districts in the North Platte, NE area. We are looking for passionate educators dedicated to fostering inclusive environments and supporting students with exceptional needs.

Position Requirements
Applicants must meet all local and state requirements to be considered:

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a closely related field from an accredited institution

• Possess a valid Nebraska Teaching Certificate with an endorsement in Special Education (such as Mild/Moderate Disabilities, K–6, 7–12, or K–12, depending on assignment)

• Prior experience working as a Special Education Teacher in a school-based setting is required

• Must complete all background checks, fingerprinting, and compliance requirements as mandated by the Nebraska Department of Education and local district policies

• Only applicants who fully meet the degree, licensure, and experience criteria will be considered

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs

• Deliver specialized instruction in inclusive or resource settings

• Modify general education curriculum and adapt instructional materials

• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, support staff, and families

• Monitor and document student progress toward academic and behavioral goals

• Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and multidisciplinary team planning
