Requirements:

• Must meet all state and local requirements for Special Education Teachers in Indiana

• Valid Indiana teaching license with Special Education endorsement

• Previous school-based experience preferred

• Strong background working with special education students and families, particularly those requiring intense interventions

Typical Job Duties:

• Deliver specialized instruction based on IEP goals for students requiring intense academic and behavioral support

• Adapt curriculum and modify instruction to meet individual needs

• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, therapists, and families

• Monitor and document student progress using data-driven strategies

• Participate in IEP meetings and maintain compliance with IDEA and district regulations

• Implement evidence-based interventions for students with diverse exceptionalities

• Provide behavioral supports and crisis interventions as needed
