Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) | Full Time School Based Contract

Blazer Jobs is seeking a qualified Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to support school districts in Tallahassee, FL, for the 2025–2026 school calendar year. This full-time, contract position offers an opportunity to empower visually impaired students through specialized instruction.

Position Type: Full-Time | School-Based | Contract
Pay Rate: Starting at $47/hour, based on experience

Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to students’ visual needs

  • Collaborate with families, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to enhance student learning

  • Conduct assessments and monitor student progress

  • Ensure compliance with IDEA and Florida state regulations

Federal and Florida State Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field with certification in Visual Impairment

  • Valid Florida Professional Certificate for Teacher of the Visually Impaired

  • Completion of required background screenings (FDLE, FBI)

  • Authorization to work legally in the United States
