Who are you?

  • Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
  • Must have ESA certification.
  • OSPI fingerprints required.
  • Valid WA Social Worker license required.
  • 2+ years of supervised, post MSW social work experience as a school social worker in a school setting.
  • Strong understanding of child and adolescent development, mental health issues, and family dynamics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators, parents, and community members.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in school social work.

What will you do?

  • Offer individual and group counseling to students to address emotional, social, and behavioral challenges.
  • Conduct assessments to identify student needs and create effective intervention plans.
  • Work closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to establish supportive learning environments.
  • Develop and implement programs promoting social and emotional learning.
  • Advocate for students' needs and provide resources and referrals to external agencies when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions and progress.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to develop and review individualized education plans (IEPs) and other support plans.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support when needed.

What is in it for you?
