Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech Language Pathologists (SLP) for a full-time role in school districts in the New Orleans, Louisiana area. This position focuses on early childhood caseloads, providing a unique opportunity to support the speech and language development of young learners.
Position Requirements:
- Louisiana state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience working with early childhood students is highly desirable
- Knowledge of early intervention strategies and the IEP (Individualized Education Program) process
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for early childhood students
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans for young children with communication needs
- Provide direct therapy services tailored to the needs of early learners
- Maintain accurate documentation, including IEPs and progress reports
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
- Participate in IEP meetings, offering insights and strategies to help students thrive
