Sign Language Interpreter Opening
Blazer Jobs is seeking a dedicated ALS Interpreter to provide 1:1 support for a 4th-grade student with Down Syndrome. This position is onsite and follows a four-day work week schedule.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 ALS interpreting services for a 4th-grade student
- Facilitate communication between the student, teachers, and peers
- Support the student in both academic and social settings
- Adapt communication methods to fit the student’s needs
- Collaborate with school staff to ensure an inclusive learning environment
Qualifications
- Must hold one of the following certifications:
- National Interpreter Certification (NIC)
- Certified Deaf Interpreter (CDI) Certification
- Previous experience in a school setting is preferred
- Ability to work onsite and follow the student’s schedule
