Sign Language Interpreter Opening
Blazer Jobs is seeking a dedicated Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) for a full-time, onsite position supporting a middle school student in an educational setting. The SLI will provide 1:1 interpretation services, ensuring effective communication between the student, teachers, and peers.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide real-time interpretation in classroom and school-related activities
- Facilitate communication between the student, educators, and peers
- Support the student’s academic and social engagement within the school environment
- Adhere to ethical standards and confidentiality requirements for educational interpreters
- Collaborate with the educational team to meet the student's communication needs
Qualifications
- Active State Interpreter License required
- Previous experience as an educational interpreter preferred
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
