Sign Language Interpreter 

Location: Gaffney, SC

Job Description: Blazer Jobs is seeking a dedicated and experienced Sign Language Interpreter to join our team and work within a school district. The ideal candidate will have a passion for facilitating communication and supporting students with hearing impairments to achieve their academic goals.

Responsibilities:

• Provide interpretation services for students, staff, and parents during school hours and at school-related events.
• Facilitate communication between hearing and deaf or hard-of-hearing individuals.
• Assist in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other school staff to support student needs.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards and ethics.

Requirements:

• Certification in Sign Language Interpretation (RID, NIC, or equivalent).
• 3.5+ EIPA preferred 
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL).
• Previous experience as a Sign Language Interpreter, preferably in an educational setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
• Professional references required.
