We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Interpreter (SLI) to join our team in Adairsville, GA. This position involves providing one-on-one support to a high school student who is deaf or hard of hearing. The SLI will facilitate communication between the student and teachers, ensuring access to instruction and participation in classroom activities.


  • Interpret spoken language into sign language and vice versa for the student.
  • Facilitate communication between the student and teachers, classmates, and other school staff.
  • Provide support during classroom instruction, small group activities, and individual assignments.
  • Assist with note-taking, clarification of information, and comprehension of content.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other support staff to meet the student's educational needs.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.


  • Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) and English.
  • Certification as a Speech-Language Interpreter (SLI) or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the student's schedule and needs.
