Position Overview: As a Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) with Blazer Jobs, you will play a crucial role in facilitating communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students and the hearing community within the school district. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide interpretation services to deaf or hard-of-hearing students in educational settings.
• Interpret spoken language into American Sign Language (ASL) and vice versa.
• Collaborate with teachers, students, and other staff to ensure effective communication.
• Support students in understanding and participating in classroom activities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Sign Language Interpreting or a related field.
• Certification from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID).
• South Carolina state licensure or certification as a Sign Language Interpreter.
• Previous experience working in an educational setting is preferred.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
