Position: Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Overview: Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for a full-time role within school districts in the Wapato, WA area. We are seeking dedicated professionals who are passionate about helping students develop their communication skills and succeed academically.

Requirements: To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following local and state requirements:

  • Education: Master s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
  • Certification: Valid Washington Speech-Language Pathologist license.
  • Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Experience: Previous experience working as an SLP in a school setting or with children.
  • Background Check: Successful completion of a background check as required by the state and local school district.
  • Professional Development: Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to state continuing education requirements.

Responsibilities: Typical responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting assessments and evaluations of students' speech and language abilities.
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans and therapy goals.
  • Providing direct therapy services to students with speech, language, and communication disorders.
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication needs.
  • Monitoring and documenting students progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Participating in IEP meetings and contributing to the development of students Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Providing training and resources to teachers and staff on speech and language development and intervention strategies.
