Position: Full-Time Contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Description:
Blazer Jobs is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time contract position in Spring Lake Park, MN. We are openly interviewing candidates who meet all local and state requirements for this school-based role. This position requires a compassionate individual with a proven track record of working effectively with special education students and their families.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess students' communication skills and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals.
  • Implement treatment plans or protocols as developed by the supervising SLP.
  • Conduct speech, language, and hearing screenings (without interpretation).
  • Document student performance and report this information to the supervising SLP.
  • Assist in maintaining student records, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Prepare therapy materials and equipment for use in sessions.
  • Support SLPs in conducting assessments and developing individualized treatment plans.
  • Facilitate communication with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to support student needs.
  • Provide support in classroom settings, helping students with communication and language difficulties.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of IEP goals.

Qualifications:

  • Must meet all requirements set by local and state regulations for Speech-Language Pathologists.
  • Proven experience working with special education students and their families.
  • Strong understanding of speech and language development and disorders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team of educators and support staff.
  • Compassionate and patient, with a genuine desire to help students succeed.
