SLP Fluent in ASL Needed for School-Based Role

Blazer Jobs is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) for a full-time role in Flint, Michigan. This position involves working with a diverse caseload to provide essential communication support.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and diagnoses of speech and language impairments.
• Develop and implement therapy plans tailored to student IEPs.
• Utilize ASL to support students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
• Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to create inclusive learning environments.
• Document and report on student progress in compliance with Michigan state guidelines.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Active Michigan state SLP license.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA (preferred).
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (required).
• At least one year of professional experience.
