Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team. This position involves working with K-12 students to provide speech and language therapy that enhances their communication abilities and overall academic success. The role is primarily onsite, but we also offer virtual options for flexibility. As a key member of our educational team, you will play a critical role in supporting students' speech and language development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in K-12 students.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' specific needs.
  • Provide direct speech-language therapy services in both individual and group settings.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to support students' communication goals.
  • Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, contributing to the development of speech and language goals.
  • Educate and support teachers and staff on strategies to promote communication in the classroom.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of therapy sessions, progress notes, and compliance with IEPs.
  • Utilize teletherapy platforms effectively for virtual therapy sessions if opting for virtual service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Valid State SLP License.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
  • Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of speech and language development, as well as special education laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
