Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPAs) for a full-time role with school districts in the Marshall, MI area. We are seeking dedicated professionals to support speech-language pathologists in delivering high-quality therapy services to students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing speech and language therapy programs as designed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Conduct therapy sessions with individual students or small groups to improve their communication skills.
- Monitor and document student progress, providing feedback to the supervising SLP.
- Support students in achieving their therapy goals by using prescribed techniques and strategies.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to integrate therapy goals into classroom activities and routines.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about students' progress and strategies for support at home.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of therapy sessions and student progress.
Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant license in Michigan.
- Experience working with children in an educational or clinical setting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of speech and language disorders and treatment methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail for documentation and reporting.
