The Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) will work under the supervision of licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to provide services to students with speech, language, and communication disorders. The SLPA will assist in implementing treatment plans, conducting therapy sessions, and documenting student progress. This role will be part time for the upcoming school year (20 hrs/week).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in delivering direct speech and language therapy to students individually or in groups.

  • Implement therapy activities designed by the supervising SLP.

  • Monitor and record student progress, making adjustments as directed by the SLP.

  • Aid SLPs in conducting speech and language screenings and assessments.

  • Prepare materials and equipment for therapy sessions.

  • Work closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student communication goals.

  • Participate in team meetings and contribute input on student progress and therapy needs.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and student progress.

  • Prepare reports and summaries as required.

  • Assist in maintaining therapy materials, equipment, and records.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate s or Bachelor's (preferred) degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program.

  • Licensure/Certification: Current MN state certification/licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.

  • Experience working with children in an educational or clinical setting preferred.
