Social Worker Needed for a School District in Morris, IL

Blazer Jobs, in collaboration with a Morris school district, is seeking a dedicated School Social Worker. This role requires a passionate professional who understands the diverse challenges faced by students and is capable of providing them with the necessary support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide counseling and psycho-social support to students facing various challenges including emotional, behavioral, and social.
• Develop and implement interventions, and monitor student progress.
• Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to best support student needs.
• Conduct assessments to determine student needs and develop tailored intervention plans.
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of effective strategies for students.
• Adhere to all district guidelines and state regulations related to school social work.
• Provide crisis intervention support as needed.
• Offer group sessions or workshops on topics relevant to student well-being and success.

Qualifications:

• Master s degree in Social Work (MSW).
• State licensure/certification for school social work in Illinois.
• Previous experience in an educational setting or with children/adolescents is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with school staff, students, and families.
