Job Description:

As a School Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting the academic and personal success of students within the Pine Bush School District. Your primary responsibility will be to provide professional social work services to students, families, and staff to address social, emotional, and behavioral issues that may impact a student's educational progress.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify social, emotional, and behavioral challenges in students.
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans to address the needs of students.
• Provide counseling and support to students facing personal and family challenges.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
• Advocate for students' social and emotional needs within the school community.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions and progress.
• Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Social Work or related field.
• Valid New York State School Social Worker certification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse students, families, and staff.
• Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in school social work.
• Compassion, empathy, and a commitment to supporting students' well-being.
