Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced School Social Workers for a full-time role with school districts in the Blue Island, IL area. We are seeking compassionate professionals dedicated to supporting students' social, emotional, and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct counseling services to students individually and in groups.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop strategies for addressing students' needs.
- Conduct assessments to identify barriers to academic success and create intervention plans.
- Assist in developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students requiring social work services.
- Provide crisis intervention and support for students and families.
- Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and community resources to promote a supportive learning environment.
- Maintain accurate records of services provided and ensure compliance with district policies and state regulations.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
- Active Illinois School Social Work License (Type 73 Certificate or equivalent).
- Experience working in a school or educational setting preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
