Special Education Paraprofessional (Para) Needed in Tacoma, WA | K-12

Caseload & Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to students in various grade levels (Pre-K through 12th grade) in academic, behavioral, and life skills.
• Assist with the implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans.
• Be flexible with assignments, helping in different classrooms and areas based on the needs of the day.
• Assist with personal care needs, including diapering and hygiene for students who require it.
• Collaborate with special education teachers, behavior analysts, and other support staff to create a supportive learning environment for students.
• Foster a positive, nurturing, and inclusive environment for students of all abilities.

What We're Looking For:

• Unofficial Transcripts with a Minimum of 60 semester hours or 
• ETS Parapro Assessment with passing score of 460
• Must have experience with significant needs special education children 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A team player with patience, empathy, and a passion for student success.
