BlazerJobs is seeking a Paraprofessional to support students with moderate to severe disabilities at an elementary school in Burlington, MA. The role involves providing significant support to students, including those with communication and mobility challenges, to ensure they can fully participate in classroom activities.

Position Details:

• Schedule:
  • Full-time
  • Hours: 35 hours per week (school hours, M-F)
• Caseload:
  • Elementary students (K-2) with moderate to severe disabilities
  • Some students are non-verbal and require significant assistance
  • Students may need support with bathroom routines, potty training, and diaper changes

Responsibilities:

• Assist students with moderate to severe disabilities in daily classroom activities and routines
• Provide physical and behavioral support to students as needed, including helping with communication devices or other support tools
• Support students with personal hygiene needs, including toileting and diaper changes
• Foster an inclusive and positive learning environment for all students
• Collaborate with teachers and other paraprofessionals to ensure each student's needs are met

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with students with disabilities is preferred
• Willingness to assist with personal hygiene tasks, including toileting and diaper changes
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to remain patient and compassionate in a challenging environment
