Special Education Paraprofessional

Location: Oroville, CA
Schedule: Full-time
Hours: Monday-Friday, 35 hours per week (hours may vary)
Pay Range: $25 - $29 per hour

Job Description:
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessionals to support K-12 students in a school setting in Oroville, CA. In this role, you will provide support to teachers and students in the classroom, ensuring that students receive the guidance they need to succeed academically and behaviorally. The position may involve assisting with individualized instruction, classroom management, and providing support to students with diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist classroom teachers with lesson implementation and classroom management.
• Provide support to students in individual or small group settings.
• Work with students to support academic and behavioral goals outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Assist with classroom activities, including assignments, tests, and other educational tasks.
• Monitor students during non-instructional times, such as lunch, recess, and transitions between classes.
• Communicate regularly with teachers and other school staff to ensure student success.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and respectful classroom environment.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Paraprofessional or working in a school setting is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and other school staff.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage student behavior and assist with classroom routines.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be willing to assist with physical tasks, as required (e.g., lifting, toileting, feeding).
• Experience working with students with disabilities or behavioral challenges is a plus.

• Competitive pay range of $25 - $29 per hour, based on experience.
