About You:
You are a compassionate, adaptable, and highly skilled Special Education Teacher looking to empower students and support their unique needs.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Licensure: Active Special Education teaching license in Illinois.
  • Skills: Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess Students: Evaluate and monitor students’ skills and learning requirements.
  • Plan Lessons: Develop and adapt lesson plans to meet individualized education needs.
  • Support IEPs: Create, modify, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Classroom Management: Foster a structured and positive learning environment.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with parents, staff, and administrators to ensure student success.
  • Assist Students: Support students with disabilities in both academic and self-help tasks.

Position Details:

  • Caseload: Middle school, self-contained classroom.
  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday.
  • Compensation: Starting at $48/hour (based on experience).
