Location: Anderson, IN

Blazer Jobs, in partnership with a local school district, is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for the current school year. This is a full-time position requiring 35 hours per week, with a focus on high school functional skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
• Provide instruction in functional skills, including daily living, social skills, and vocational preparation.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure student success.
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed.
• Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Must hold an active Indiana teaching license in Special Education.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Experience working with high school students with functional skill needs is a plus.
