Are you an experienced and dedicated Special Education Teacher seeking a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of students? We are currently seeking a passionate individual to join our team as a Full-Time Special Education Teacher in Austin, Texas.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs, ensuring that each student's unique learning goals and needs are addressed.
  • Provide instruction and support to students with a range of disabilities, including learning disabilities, emotional disturbances, and developmental disabilities.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to create inclusive learning environments that promote academic and social-emotional growth for all students.
  • Use a variety of instructional strategies and assistive technologies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Monitor student progress, assess learning outcomes, and adjust instructional strategies as needed to ensure student success.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, progress, and behavior in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Special Education or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Valid Texas teaching certification in Special Education.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders.
  • Experience working with students with a variety of disabilities and a commitment to meeting the diverse needs of all learners.
  • Dedication to ongoing professional development and a growth mindset.
