- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs, ensuring that each student's unique learning goals and needs are addressed.
- Provide instruction and support to students with a range of disabilities, including learning disabilities, emotional disturbances, and developmental disabilities.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to create inclusive learning environments that promote academic and social-emotional growth for all students.
- Use a variety of instructional strategies and assistive technologies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Monitor student progress, assess learning outcomes, and adjust instructional strategies as needed to ensure student success.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, progress, and behavior in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Special Education or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Valid Texas teaching certification in Special Education.
- Demonstrated knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders.
