Special Education Teacher - Charter School in Queens
BlazerWorks is working with a charter school in Queens, NY, looking to fill a Special Education opening.
Job Details:
- Full-Time (40 hours)
- ???????7:30AM - 3:30 PM
- Co-Teaching position for 7th grade ICT
- ???????Approximately 4 students on caseload
- 03/20/2023 - 06/26/2023
- Onsite only
Job Requirements
- Must have valid Special Education New York Certification that includes grade 7.
Responsibilities:
- Assess students' skills and determine their educational needs
- Adapt general lessons to meet students' needs
- Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for each student
- Plan activities that are specific to each student's abilities
- Teach and mentor students as a class, in small groups, and one-on-one
- Supervise and mentor teacher assistants in the classroom
