Blazer Jobs is actively seeking experienced Special Education Teachers for full-time positions within school districts in the Villa Park, IL area. We are dedicated to providing exceptional educational services to students with diverse learning needs and are looking for passionate educators to join our team.


  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of students with disabilities.
  • Provide specialized instruction that caters to the varied learning styles and abilities of students, ensuring their effective participation in the general education curriculum.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure appropriate accommodations and support in inclusive settings.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress, adjust instructional strategies, and revise IEP goals as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and academic performance in compliance with school policies and regulations.
  • Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders to discuss student progress, behavior, and educational goals.
  • Participate actively in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated with best practices in special education.

Requirements: Applicants must meet all local and state requirements for Illinois:

  • Illinois Requirements:
    • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an endorsement in Special Education.
    • Bachelor s degree in Special Education or a related field; Master s degree preferred.
    • Previous experience working with students with disabilities in an educational setting.
    • Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and instructional strategies.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and families.
    • Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement in teaching practices.
    • Clear criminal background check and other required certifications.
