Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education English Language Arts (SPED ELA) Teacher to join our team in Southlake, TX. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment and supporting students with diverse learning needs in developing their English language arts skills.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of each student.
- Create engaging lesson plans that accommodate various learning styles and abilities.
- Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusive practices within the classroom.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and adapting instruction as needed.
- Communicate regularly with parents, caregivers, and other stakeholders regarding student progress and needs.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices and stay updated on best practices in special education.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, English Language Arts, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Valid Texas teaching certification in Special Education and English Language Arts.
- Experience working with students with disabilities in a classroom setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators and support staff.
