Special Education Teacher - Bremerton, WA

Position Overview:
Blazer Jobs is currently seeking experienced Special Education Teachers for full-time positions with school districts in the Bremerton, WA area. We are looking for dedicated individuals who are passionate about providing exceptional educational support to students with diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities, tailoring instruction to meet their unique needs and learning styles.
  • Provide direct instruction in core academic subjects, life skills, and social skills development, both in inclusive classroom settings and in specialized resource rooms.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Assess students' progress regularly, using data to inform instructional decisions and modify teaching strategies as needed.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' eligibility for special education services and to identify areas of need.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of students' IEPs, progress reports, and other relevant documentation.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and team meetings to discuss student progress and develop appropriate goals and interventions.


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field.
  • Valid Washington state teaching certification in Special Education.
  • Previous experience working as a Special Education Teacher, preferably in a K-12 school setting.
  • Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction and provide appropriate accommodations and modifications to meet the diverse needs of students.
