Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with a variety of special needs.
• Modify curriculum and instructional methods to meet the individual needs of each student.
• Provide direct instruction to students, adapting lessons to ensure accessibility and engagement for all learners.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and school administrators to promote inclusive practices and student progress.
• Regularly assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies based on their development and needs.
• Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers, providing updates on student progress and collaborating on strategies for student success.
• Maintain detailed records of student performance and adhere to all state and district regulations for special education programs.

Qualifications:

• Must meet all local and state certification requirements for Special Education in South Carolina.
• Prior experience working with special education students and families is highly preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
