Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with varying disabilities.
• Adapt general education lessons and teaching methods to meet the needs of students with special needs.
• Provide direct instruction in small groups or one-on-one settings to address individual student goals.
• Assess student performance regularly, adjusting instructional strategies and IEP goals as necessary.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, and parents to create an inclusive educational environment.
• Facilitate communication with families regarding student progress, IEP goals, and areas for improvement.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress, assessment data, and IEP documentation.

Qualifications:

• Must meet all local and state licensure and certification requirements for Special Education in Illinois.
• Experience working with special education students and their families is highly preferred.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.
