Special Education Teacher | Kyle, TX

Location: Austin, TX (30 minutes from Kyle, TX)
Employment Type: Full-Time (37.5 hours/week)
Duration: ASAP – May 23rd
Hourly Rate: $35-40
Work Environment: On-Site Only

Job Summary: We are seeking passionate and skilled Special Education (SPED) Teachers to join our team in Austin, just 30 minutes from Kyle. This full-time position offers various caseload options, allowing you to work with elementary or high school students in specialized settings. Candidates must be committed to creating a supportive learning environment for students with special needs.

Caseload Options:

1. Elementary Life Skills Classroom.
2. Two Resource positions at the elementary level.
3. Self-contained Autism room at the elementary level.
4. High School Resource position (requires MATH certification in addition to SPED certification).

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students based on their specific needs.
• Provide direct instruction and support to students in specialized classrooms or resource settings.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure the success of students.
• Monitor and assess student progress, making adjustments to instructional strategies as needed.
• Participate in IEP meetings, maintain accurate records, and comply with all district and state regulations.

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education certification for Texas.
• High School Resource position requires additional MATH certification.
• Experience working in life skills, resource, or self-contained autism classrooms preferred.
