Special Education Teacher - Leave Position

Special Education Teacher (Full-Time) – Homer Glen, Illinois

Blazer Jobs is actively seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher for a full-time position within school districts in the Homer Glen, Illinois area. We are looking for a dedicated educator passionate about supporting students with special needs and helping them achieve academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Adapt and modify the general education curriculum to meet the unique needs of each student.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and school staff to support student progress.
• Provide direct instruction to students in both small group and one-on-one settings.
• Assess students' academic and behavioral progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and IEP compliance.
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Valid Illinois teaching license with a Special Education endorsement.
• Experience working with students with disabilities, particularly in a school setting.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of current special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
