Join Our Team as a Special Education Teacher in Belton, TX!

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with special needs? We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in Belton, TX, for the 2024/2025 school year!

Position Overview:

This full-time position requires 37.5 hours per week, working from August 2, 2024, to May 21, 2025. You'll be onsite from 7:20 AM to 3:30 PM, with a 45-minute conference period and a 30-minute lunch break. You'll be working in a self-contained Lifeskills classroom with approximately 12 students in grades K-5.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students in the Lifeskills program.
  • Provide specialized instruction tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Foster a supportive and structured classroom environment that encourages student growth and learning.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student success.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instruction as needed.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of students' educational plans.


  • Must hold valid Special Education certifications in the state of Texas.
  • Experience working with K-5 students in a self-contained setting is preferred.
  • Any behavior training is a huge plus!
  • Strong understanding of special education laws and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
