Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following local and state requirements:
- Valid Special Education Teaching License
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and staff
- Excellent organizational and communication skills

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
- Provide instruction and support to students with varying disabilities
- Assess and monitor student progress, making adjustments to instructional strategies as needed
- Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure effective integration of students into the general curriculum
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and progress
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and address any concerns
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities
