We are looking for a School Special Education Teacher (SPED) to join our team in Crestline, CA. This full-time position involves working with a K-12 caseload, providing specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
- Adapt instructional materials and teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to create an inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor student progress, assess learning outcomes, and adjust teaching methods as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including IEP reports, assessments, and student progress records.
- Provide direct instruction in both individual and small group settings.
- Utilize evidence-based teaching methods and classroom management strategies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Active California Special Education teaching credential.
- Previous experience in a school-based setting is preferred.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.
- Understanding of special education laws, policies, and best practices.
