Special Education Teacher - On-site

Blazer Jobs is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher specializing in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to join an elementary team in Dearborn, MI. This role involves managing a resource room and providing tailored support to students with ASD.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with ASD.
• Provide direct instruction and support in a resource room setting.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and related service providers to ensure student success.
• Maintain compliance with federal and state special education guidelines.
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Active teaching certification in Special Education with an endorsement in ASD for the state of Michigan.
• Experience working with elementary-aged students with ASD is preferred.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
