Special Education Teacher Opening (Middle School)

Blazer Jobs is currently seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join a supportive school district team in Barrington, IL. This full-time position offers a chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students with special needs.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the specific needs of each student.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to support student progress.
• Adapt and modify instructional materials and teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and success.
• Monitor and document student performance, adjusting teaching methods as necessary.
• Stay up-to-date on best practices and local, state, and federal special education regulations.

Qualifications:

• Valid state teaching certification with a Special Education endorsement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Knowledge of local and state special education laws and compliance standards.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Previous experience working with students with disabilities is preferred.
