Special Education Teacher – Pittsburgh, PA
Full-Time, Onsite Position for Current School Year

Blazer Jobs is partnering with a school district in Pittsburgh, PA to fill two full-time Special Education Teacher positions for the current school year. These positions will focus on supporting students with special education needs, specifically in the areas of Emotional Support and Learning Support.

Job Details:

• Caseload: 2 Emotional Support (High School)
• Number of Positions: 2
• Discipline: Learning Support
• Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday

Job Duties:

• Support students with special education needs
• Address learning needs, developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Provide classroom management and behavioral support to students
• Work collaboratively with other educators and staff to promote academic and social success
• Assist in the development of student goals and interventions to support emotional and academic growth

Requirements:

• Special Education certification
• Experience in Emotional Support and/or Learning Support settings preferred
• Preferred: CPI training (Crisis Prevention & Intervention), but not mandatory
• Strong communication and organizational skills
