Special Education Teacher Position Now Available - Full Time - Forks, WA

Blazerworks, in collaboration with a reputable school district in Forks, WA, is currently seeking applications for a full-time Special Education position. Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs, in collaboration with the student's parents/guardians, teachers, and other support staff.
• Provide direct instruction and support to students, addressing their unique learning requirements and adapting instructional strategies as necessary.
• Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that fosters students' social and emotional growth.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and other staff members to ensure that students' IEP goals and accommodations are effectively implemented in the classroom.
• Assess student progress and maintain accurate records of their academic and behavioral development.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to provide updates on student progress and discuss strategies for supporting their learning at home.
• Participate in team meetings, professional development sessions, and training workshops to enhance skills and stay updated on best practices in special education.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field; a valid teaching certificate with an endorsement in Special Education is preferred.
• Experience working with students with special needs is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and instructional strategies.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues.
• Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for helping students with special needs achieve their full potential.
• Proficiency in utilizing technology and educational software for instructional purposes.
