Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Special Education Teachers for a full-time role with school districts in the New Oxford, PA area. We are seeking dedicated educators who are passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of students with special needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student s needs.
  • Provide direct and indirect instructional support in a positive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt and modify curricula for special education students as needed.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and techniques to engage students and enhance their learning experience.
  • Conduct regular assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional methods accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough records of students' progress and performance.
  • Communicate consistently with parents, school staff, and other stakeholders to support student development.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in special education.

Requirements: Applicants must meet all local and state requirements for Pennsylvania:

  • Pennsylvania Requirements:
    • Valid Pennsylvania teaching certificate with an endorsement in Special Education.
    • Bachelor s degree in Special Education or a related field; Master s degree preferred.
    • Prior experience working with students with disabilities in an educational setting.
    • Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and instructional strategies.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with a team of educators and support staff.
    • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
    • Clear criminal background check and other required clearances.
