Position Overview:

As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized instruction to students with disabilities, helping them reach their full potential academically and socially. You will collaborate with a team of educators and support staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Adapt curriculum materials and teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Provide one-on-one and small-group instruction to support students' academic and social development.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed.
• Collaborate with parents, guardians, and other professionals to develop and implement effective educational plans.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school and state regulations.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes the well-being of all students.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Valid Georgia teaching certification in Special Education.
• Strong knowledge of special education laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with students with special needs.
