Special Education Teacher (SPED) Contract Job Full Time

Blazer Jobs, in collaboration with a school district in Plaistow, NH, is actively seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher. This role requires a compassionate educator committed to addressing the individualized needs of students with various learning disabilities and challenges, ensuring they achieve their highest potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEP) for students with diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure that students receive an inclusive education.
• Employ differentiated instruction strategies tailored to students' specific needs.
• Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' eligibility for special education services.
• Foster a supportive and positive learning environment, adapting classroom materials as needed.
• Participate in regular IEP meetings, providing updates on students' progress and areas of concern.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s or Master's degree in Special Education or related field.
• Valid NH teaching license with a Special Education endorsement.
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and families.
• Prior experience working in an educational setting with students with special needs is advantageous.
